Constitution Day May 17th

昨日は5月17日で、ノルウェーのお祭りでした。憲法記念日という日でした。3年ぶりに他のノルウェー人と一緒にお祝いしました。そして4年ぶりにノルウェーでお祝いしました。

Last year, 2009:

Celebrating at home in Matsue with Norwegian Dinner and Japanese Bible Study with Japanese friends...

...and with Nadine from Jamaica.

May 17, 2008:

In Tottori, meeting the Christian woman in my neighbourhood, when I lived there from 1995-1997.

Meeting with the youngsters in Tottori Lutheran Church.

May 17, 2007:

Last time I celebrated the National Day with other Norwegians. This is in Kobe.

Actually it's not too bad to celebrate this day in Japan, even though Kentucky Fried Chicken is not the most traditional Norwegian food!

17th of May in Japan, the day Norwegians really become Norwegians! Kind of miss it when I'm back home in Norway...
