My Family (ies)
Yesterday was my mother's birthday, so we had a small party for her. This was the first time after Christmas that we all were together. In the picture you can see my brother Magne and my sister Solfrid with me and mum. I also have one more sister, Annbjørg, who lives with her family in Kristiansand, in the south of Norway.
However, I also have another family. That family consists of missionaries who are or have been in Japan.
Last week four of us were gathered in Anne Marie Lillevik's house. She lives within one hour's drive from my place. Else Marie Ledal was visiting her, and Ingebjørg Hildre was also in Norway now because of her father's funeral. So now four sisters could meet together and hear news from Japan.
Outside it was quite cold, as you can see, so we decided to take more pictures inside.
Here are three of my "Japan sisters", Anne Marie-sensei, Hirudore-sensei and Redaru-sensei.

Tusen takk, Anne Marie!
Her er plass til mange føter!
Sushi Party

Happy New Year!
Happy new year!
Godt nytt år!
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen."
2 Peter 3:18
Amen."
2. Peter 3,18
Some more pictures:
Tonight some people came to church by "kick". It's like a sledge, where you stand on one leg as you kick with the other. It can be very speedy, especially downhill (and without brakes! You have to use your shoes to brake...) However, it must have been cold to go by "kick" tonight with minus 8 degrees. I felt cold even in my car!
Yesterday I celebrated New Year Eve with my friend Marit. She served traditional mutton ribs. Delicious! And after that we had dessert and cakes until midnight. Then we went out on her veranda to watch the fireworks.
The cat loves to play in the Christmas tree...In Norway we still have Christmas on New Year Day.
